Birth Processing (debriefing)
A safe space to process, heal, and reconnect with your experience.
Birth can be one of the most profound and transformative experiences in a woman’s life, but sometimes it leaves us with feelings that are hard to process. Whether your birth unfolded beautifully, unexpectedly, or in ways that still feel challenging, it’s important to have space to reflect, feel heard, and honour your story.
As a Reconnected Birthing Practitioner, my birth processing sessions are an invitation to be witnessed, to honour what your body remembers, and to gently unravel the layers of your experience.
Sometimes, simply having your birth story heard and held without judgement is enough. There may be relief in finally being able to tell the whole story, without needing to minimise it, make sense of it, or move beyond it.
At other times, sharing your story may open the door to something deeper. Memories, emotions, sensations or patterns may surface that weren’t able to be fully felt or expressed at the time. When it feels supportive and appropriate, we can gently explore these through somatic and systemic tools, bringing awareness to what may still be held within the body and creating space to connect with and process your experience in a different way.
There is no set path for these sessions. We follow what feels most supportive for you, at a pace that honours your experience.
For some, one session is enough. For others, memories, emotions or patterns may continue to surface as they reflect on their experience. Follow-up sessions are available in 60 or 90-minute sessions, offering further space for reflection, integration and embodiment as you continue to make sense of your experience.
Initial Birth Debrief (90 mins): $120
Follow Up Session (60 mins): $80
*If you’d prefer an in person session, a travel fee may apply

Birth processing is a gentle, compassionate process that allows you to explore, reflect on, and make sense of your birth experience. My approach may draw on both somatic and systemic tools, meaning we look not only at what happened, but also at how the experience may have impacted your body, emotions, relationships, beliefs and sense of self.
Sometimes our experiences are shaped by more than what happened during the birth itself. The people around us, the care we received, the expectations we carried, family dynamics, or patterns and beliefs we have learned throughout our lives can all influence how we experience and make sense of what happened.
Somatic work brings awareness to what may still be present in the body, while systemic work can help us explore the wider context and patterns surrounding your experience. Together, these approaches can create space to understand, feel and integrate parts of your experience that may not have had the time, safety or support to be processed at the time.
Sometimes simply having your story heard and witnessed is enough. Other times, there may be more to gently explore. We follow what feels supportive for you, at your pace.
